The walls of our London campus are adorned with over 50 works of art that not only enhance the physical environment in which our students, staff, and faculty work, but form a collection specifically curated to align with the intellectual mission of the school.

The London collection is called “Unapologetically” and features art from both established and emerging artists that addresses questions such as economic and cultural globalization, the role of the media, gender and racial identity, and the role of memory.

How can your company help event planners to meet their sustainability objectives?

Sustainability is a cornerstone of our ethos at the Chicago Booth London Conference Centre, and we are proud to announce our commitment to achieving and maintaining BREEAM certification. BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is the world's leading sustainability assessment method for buildings, recognising excellence in environmental performance, sustainability, and innovation.

  • Energy Efficiency: As part of our BREEAM certification efforts, we are dedicated to reducing energy consumption and promoting energy efficiency throughout our facility. This includes investing in energy-efficient lighting, heating, and cooling systems, as well as implementing smart technology to optimise energy usage and minimise environmental impact.
  • Waste Reduction and Recycling: BREEAM emphasises waste reduction and recycling as crucial components of sustainable building practices. We have implemented comprehensive waste reduction measures, including providing recycling bins throughout our facility and partnering with sustainable waste management companies to responsibly dispose of waste, aligning with BREEAM's requirements for waste management and reduction.
  • Water Conservation: Water conservation is another key aspect of our BREEAM certification efforts. We have installed water-saving fixtures and implemented practices to reduce water waste, such as monitoring and promptly repairing leaks. These initiatives not only contribute to our BREEAM certification but also help conserve precious resources and promote environmental stewardship.
  • Sustainable Procurement: BREEAM encourages sustainable procurement practices, which we fully embrace at our conference centre. We source environmentally friendly products and materials whenever feasible, prioritising recycled or biodegradable materials for office supplies, catering, and event materials. Our commitment to sustainable procurement aligns with BREEAM's criteria for responsible sourcing and environmental impact reduction.
  • Transportation and Accessibility: BREEAM recognises the importance of sustainable transportation options and accessibility. We promote sustainable transportation choices for both our staff and event attendees, including public transportation, carpooling, and cycling. Additionally, our facilities are designed to be accessible for pedestrians and cyclists, aligning with BREEAM's requirements for sustainable transport and accessibility.
  • Continuous Improvement: Achieving BREEAM certification is just the beginning of our sustainability journey. We are committed to continuously evaluating and improving our sustainability practices through regular monitoring, measurement, and feedback. This ongoing commitment to excellence and environmental responsibility will ensure that we not only maintain our BREEAM certification but also continue to make a positive impact on our planet and future generations.

At the Chicago Booth London Conference Centre, sustainability is more than just a certification—it's a guiding principle that informs everything we do. Through our commitment to BREEAM, our ongoing sustainability initiatives, and our support of events like the Event Sustainable Show, we are proud to play our part in creating a more environmentally responsible and sustainable future.
